Frank’s earlier years were spent in business in the Washington DC area as a Principal for an engineering and computer sciences search firm.  His interest in photography dates back to his college years as a means of self-expression, and an early fascination with the darkroom.

It was only after the freedom of retirement and the relocation to an “arts community” that he entered shows and exhibitions.

Frank prefers black and white photography… as images have greater expression with tonal quality and contrast, textures and detail, and lines, shape and form.  Black and white also has an elegant quality to it.

“The art of photography serves to freely exercise my mind and imagination to create images that evoke emotion.”

He has lived in the mountains of western Maryland since 2008, along with his wife, Patricia Hilton, a painter.
