Lanigan

George R. Lanigan, at Rising Sun Yoga and Art, is a self-taught artist with interests in both painting and sculpture. Most of his work could best be classified as Pop Surrealism. Most paintings are light hearted and often have an underlying observation. Although occasionally evocative, the intention is to promote thought, regardless of one’s point of view. His preferred media is common oil base paint, usually Rustoleum©. George’s work has been shown throughout the region and accepted into National Juried Competitions.  Rising Sun also features the work of noted regional multimedia artist Ed Coffey and Found Object Robot Sculptor Sally Colby.
