Penny Knobel-Besa is a fine arts photographer, playwright, and director who has received awards both national and regionally for her photography, most recently in 2016 she received the juror’s award at the Maryland Federation of the Arts in Annapolis and 2017 honorable mention from Smithsonian Juror in a National Photography Show.   As playwright she directed her play, Off-Broadway in New York.  She’s published, exhibited in Europe, and locally at the Gilchrist Museum.   She travels to build new bodies of works, once driving alone camping to Arctic Circle.  She enjoys teaching the “Art of Photography” from her Sanctuary Studios.

From Baltimore, Frederick area- Take I-70 West past Hagerstown to Hancock and there turn left onto I-68 West toward Cumberland.  Take Exit 62 turn right at the end of ramp then follow above directions from asterisk*.
